Seb Studio is a Berlin-based multidisciplinary art and design studio founded in Istanbul by artist and designer Sebahat Karcı. The studio continues to work on projects in both Berlin and Istanbul, as well as internationally.
With over nine years of experience, Sebahat works with brands, creative agencies, production companies, and cultural institutions, combining art, design, and hands-on production.
Paper is at the core of her practice, but her work is not limited to one material. She works with different materials and production techniques depending on each project's needs, from small-scale objects to large-scale installations.
Sebahat leads the studio, working independently or bringing together a project-based team of designers, artists, and makers when needed.
What We Do?
Art direction, set design, stage design, event design, window displays, spatial installations, paper sculptures, commissioned artworks, and pop-up book design.
We work on advertising campaigns, film and photography productions, retail spaces, events, exhibitions, and cultural projects. Our involvement can range from concept development and design to material research, fabrication, and on-site installation.
We also develop and lead creative workshops for brands, cultural institutions, and private groups, focusing on paper art and hands-on making.
Seb Studio Shop
Seb Studio Shop is an extension of our paper art practice, offering DIY paper sculpture kits designed for people to assemble themselves.
Through these kits, we aim to make paper art accessible and encourage people to take part in the creative process. We focus on thoughtful design, responsible material choices, and creating objects that people can build, keep, and develop a personal connection with.
